My dog tore up her back hunting, on a Saturday. Called, they were closed, but there was an emergency number. It was not an extreme emergency, but the vet answered the phone and met me in 20 min. He fixed up my pup competently, with kindness, and at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately my friend had a real emergency that night. He answered the phone at 10pm on Saturday night, and while this clinic was not up to that emergency, gave me direction as to who was. Thanks guys!
Vet is knowledgeable and good to work with. Billing practices questionable.
Don't have your cows pregnancy tested unless your facilities can move through cattle in seconds and not minutes (including Vet's time). We averaged a little under 2 minutes per head and this evidently is too slow for the $3.50 / head the Vet quotes over the telephone. (We went through about 48 head in 95 minutes).
Quoted $3.50 per head during appointment setting but charged $7.08 per head for preg testing on the bill. No mention while on-site, just up-charge on the bill.
After calling and inquiring about the bill, Vet discounted down to $4.70 per head (still $1.20/ head higher than quoted). No methodology on her time expectations when she arrived or departed; or why the up-charge on the bill occurred.
